Today in Las Vegas we didn't get to cast our eyes over a line up of Aussie basketballers that we have become accustomed to, so I decided to cast my over a couple of other games which really caught my attention. As the Summer League progresses, and the more I can watch Kevin Knox, the more infatuated I become with New York Knicks new draft pick. He has in my eyes real star potential and showed with his array of weapons today that he can be a threat anywhere on the court.
Let's take a look at some of the action from today:
Jock found himself struggling to impact the box score, he missed some key rebounds that seemed to slip through his fingers but if you look closer Atlanta were a +21 team whilst he was on the court. It was the first time I really saw Trae Young and Jock working in some type of symmetry, Trae was using Jock on some pick and roll opportunities which opened some nice shots. It was no surprise in my eyes that Trae played arguably his most productive and hottest shooting game of the Summer League today as well.
There were times on defence where Jock was exposed for speed and mobility when stepping out to Wendell Carter who slashed and moved to the rim with ease. But his positioning on the defensive boards was apparent but he just could not hold on to several balls which spilled out of court, into his teammates hands or over to the opposition.
With John Collins shut down for the remainder of the Summer League Jock will have another chance tomorrow at 10:30am (AEST) when his Hawks battle the Indiana Pacers in a knockout battle.
What's next in Las Vegas?
Six Aussies go to battle tomorrow to keep their Summer League hoops dream alive. With the end close they will be keen to impress in their bid to get that fantastic opportunity of a 2-way contract as a chance to move into the NBA. Let's take a look who's playing Thursday morning:

8:30am: Mitch Creek and Duop Reath - Dallas Mavericks v Chicago Bulls
10:30am: Jock Landale - Atlanta Hawks v Indiana Pacers
